Peter replied, “Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed. Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] For God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
[41] Those who believed the word that day numbered three thousand. They were all baptized and added to the church.
Acts 1:4-5 TPT
Jesus instructed them, “Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised. [5] For John baptized you in water, but in a few days from now you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit!”
Acts 19:1-7 TPT
While Apollos was ministering in Corinth, Paul traveled on through the regions of Turkey until he arrived in Ephesus, where he found a group of twelve followers of Jesus. [2] The first thing he asked them was “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” “No,” they replied. “We’ve not even heard of a holy spirit.” [3] Paul asked, “Then what was the meaning of your baptism?” They responded, “It meant that we would follow John’s teaching.” [4] Paul said, “John’s baptism was for those who were turning from their sins, and he taught you to believe in and follow the one who was coming after him: Jesus the Anointed One.” [5] When they understood this, they were baptized into the authority of Jesus, the Anointed One. [6-7] And when Paul laid his hands on each of the twelve, the Holy Spirit manifested and they immediately spoke in tongues and prophesied.
The Bible’s instructions on baptism is very clear.
1. The people had to repent and turn to God.
2. Then they could be baptized with water
3. And receive the baptism of Holy Spirit.
Jesus warned us not to be deceived.
Matthew 24:4,11 MEV

[11] And many false prophets will rise and will deceive many.
Paul warned the people against false philosophies and traditions.
Colossians 2:8 MEV
Beware lest anyone captivate you through philosophy and vain deceit, in the tradition of men and the elementary principles of the world, and not after Christ.
