Genade is suiwer liefde. Die Engelse Bybel gebruik die woorde “grace” en “mercy” vir genade. AFR53 vertaal die woord  genade soms as barmhartigheid.

Strong’s H2617: “hesed” - onfeilbare liefde, liefde, toewyding, vriendelikheid, goedheid, genade, dit verwys dikwels na ‘n verhouding of ‘n verbond.
G1653: “eleeo” - genade, om ‘n behoefte te voorsien, deernis, jammer te kry,

Strong’s H2580: “hen” - guns, genade, vriendelikheid, aangenaam

NEPHILIM

Nephilim: Strong’s H5303 giants derived from H5307 napal which means to fall or outcast. Nephilim refers to the fallen ones.
Nave’s Topical Bible reference: ones falling upon hence violent ones; possibly giants.
The people fell out of fear, when they saw nephilim. Only in 2 verses in the Bible the word nephilim appears.
According to the 10 spies nephilim were the sons of Anak. Nephilim can thus also be Anakites.

Genesis 6:4 NKJV
There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

GIANTS

The English Bible translates nephilim, rephaites/rephaim, emims/emites and anakites mostly under the collective noun giants. They were not only giants, but also tyrants or bullies. The Lord wanted to get rid of the hybrid animals and people in Canaan. He gave the land to the Israelites and they had to eradicate these nations. Unfortunately they didn’t do it and David still had to fight giants.

Genesis 15:17-21 MEV

When the sun went down and it was dark, a smoking fire pot with a flaming torch passed between these pieces. [18] On that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great Euphrates River- [19] the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, [20] the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaites, [21] the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

According to the Books of Enoch the watchers fathered the giants. Enoch used to be part of the Bible but was removed in the 5th century. Two hundred watchers apparently came down on Mount Hermon and they led the people astray. This seems to be a seperate event from satan and a third of the angels that fell. Let’s see what the Bible says: 

 WATCHERS

It seems like watchers were angelic beings that came from Heaven and were placed on earth to protect the people. It’s possible that the watchers and the sons of God were the same angelic beings.
Melchizedek (Genesis; 14:18, Hebrews 7) was possibly a watcher and/or a son of God sent by God to curb sin, before the law.

In die Ou Testament lees ons van baie verskillende redders. Noag, Abraham, Jakob, Josef, Debóra, Ester, Moses, Joshua, Dawid, Jona, Gideon en Simson was almal wonderlike redders. Elkeen van hierdie redders was ‘n skaduwee van Jesus wat sou kom. Moses is seker die bekendste redder van die Israeliete. Daar was baie ooreenkomste tussen hom en Jesus. Satan en die engel Mígael het ‘n argument gehad oor Moses se liggaam. Ek glo satan het gedink dat Moses nie die Beloofde Land kon ingaan nie en daarom kon hy ook nie die ewige lewe beërwe nie. Moses het net soos die ander redders foute gemaak, maar God het hulle vergewe. Jesus was die enigste sondelose Redder. Satan het waarskynlik vir ‘n kort rukkie gedink dat hy Jesus het, maar op die derde het Jesus die graf oorwin. Vandag is daar ook mense wat wonderlike goed vir Jesus doen; ons kan by hulle leer, maar ons volg net ons enigste Redder, Koning Jesus. ‘n Eienskap van ‘n goeie leier is dat hy al die aandag op Jesus plaas en nie op homself nie. 

Og - Strong’s H5747: round, king of Bashan.

BDB Lexicon: long-necked, the Amorite king of Bashan and one of the last representatives of the giants of Rephaim. 

Og was the giant king of Bashan. Og had an iron bed and it was 9 cubits long and 4 cubits wide - approximately 13,5x6 feet or 4,1x1,8 m. Moses defeated Og and his land was given to the tribes of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh. Og’s land was east of the Jordan and the Israelites took this land before they crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land. 
Og is mentioned 22 times in the Bible. Nations feared God and the Israelites, after the mighty king Og was defeated. God gave the giant king and his 60 cities in the hands of the Israelites. The people were totally destroyed, but the Israelites kept the livestock. God told the Israelites not to be afraid and blessed them abundantly. We serve a mighty God; physical and spiritual giants aren’t a problem for God.

JONAH

Jonah 1:17 NKJV
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

After 3 days Jonah decided to be obedient to God and travel to Nineveh.

Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly. [2] And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. [3] For You cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the floods surrounded me; All Your billows and Your waves passed over me. [4] Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.' [5] The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. [6] I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD, my God. [7] "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. [8] "Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. Moses was ‘n mooi seun en gebore uit die stam van Levi.
