MOENIE PROFESIE VERAG NIE

Die laaste paar jaar het daar soveel profete iets te sê gehad oor die toekoms. Die boodskappe is redelik teenstrydig. Ek sal eerlik wees - ek vind dit moeilik om na baie van hulle te luister. Ek bid vir onderdskeidingsvermoë, want daar is vals profete. Terselfdetyd moet ons ook genade toon wanneer daar ‘n jong, onervare profeet foute maak. Ons almal maak foute. Moenie jou eie afleidings maak nie. Moenie profesie verag omdat mense bog profeteer nie. Profesie is heilig, want dit kom direk van God. Toets alle profesie met die Woord. Bid daaroor en vra Heilige Gees om jou te wys wat die waarheid is. Die Bybel waarsku ons om nie profesie te verag nie.

GIFTS AND FRUIT

Everybody received different gifts from God

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

For example: The Spirit gives to one the gift of the word of wisdom. To another, the same Spirit gives the gift of the word of revelation knowledge. MINDSET

There is a nasty critical spirit amongst people. Even preachers have sermons where they criticize other preachers. People seem to be insecure that God gave us different gifts and therefore we have different experiences. The Bible is full of strange events. Enoch and Elijah was raptured, a donkey spoke, God’s hand wrote on the wall, Philip was transported and Jesus walked through walls. The Bible says each person has a calling. We should keep our eyes on Jesus and keep ourselves busy with our own calling. I don’t want to act like an unbeliever because I don’t understand somebody else’s calling. We should have the mindset of Christ and be led by Holy Spirit.

VALS BESKULDIGING

Ek sien meer en meer hoe Christene vals beskuldig word. Die wêreld beskuldig ons dat ons sekere groepe haat terwyl ons die enigste mense is wat omgee vir hulle; ons wil nie hê dat hulle in die ewige verderf beland nie. God se Woord word beskou as haatspraak. Wanneer God se land aangeval word, word hulle uitgemaak as moordenaars wanneer hulle hulself verdedig. Ons kan rus in die wete dat Jesus ons enigste regter is. Hy het gesterf nadat Sy eie mense Hom vals beskuldig het. Doen dit wat reg is ongeag of ander jou gaan beskuldig of nie.

Don’t be suprised if people that know you don’t embrace your calling.
Jeremiah was from Anathoth and those were also the people that wanted to kill him for prophesying God’s messages.

BALSEM VAN GÍLEAD

Balsem: 
STRONG’S H 6875 - “tseri/zeri” - “balm”, sekresie/afskeiding van ‘n boom, mastiek (hars), gewoonlik verkry uit die die bas van ‘n boom.
NAVE’S TOPICAL BIBLE REFERENCE - Balsem: medisinale balsem 
BDB LEXICON: Balsem, salf, dit was medisyne en ‘n produk waarmee handel gedryf is.
Ek neem aan dit is wat ons boomgom noem en dit is as medisyne gebruik.

Gílead:
STRONG’S H1568 - monument van klippe
BDB LEXICON: klipperige area 
Dit was ‘n area wes van die Eufraatrivier (Génesis 31:21) en oos van die Jordaanrivier (Josua 17:5-6). Gílead was in die area wat vandag Jordanië is. Dit was ‘n bergagtige area, maar ook ‘n area geskik om met vee te boer. Moses het die  land Gílead aan die stamme van Manasse, Gad en Reuben as erfdeel gegee - Josua 13:31, 22:9, Númeri 32:1,29,40, Deuteronómium 3:13-16, 2 Konings 10:33.
Salomo vergelyk sy beminde se hare met ‘n kudde bokke wat afloop by die heuwels van Gílead - Hooglied 1:4, 6:5.
Die profeet Elía was van Gílead - 1 Konings 17:1.
Die mense van Juda was so waardevol soos Gílead vir God, maar ongelukkig was die mense sondaars.
“Want so sê die Here aangaande die huis van die koning van Juda: 'n Gílead is jy vir My, die top van die Líbanon. Waarlik, Ek sal jou 'n woestyn maak, stede wat nie bewoon word nie!”

SILO

Silo: Plek van rus - BDB LEXICON
Silo was ‘n dorp in Efraim, naby Bethel, waar die tabernakel gestaan het van die tyd van Josua tot die tyd van Samuel - NAVE’S TOPICAL BIBLE REFERENCE.
Silo beteken heel, goeie, stil, veilig, gesond of oorvloed. Die verbondsark het vir 369 jaar in Silo gebly en dit was die plek waar lofprysing aan God gebring is - TPT BYBEL.

Josua 18-22:
Daar was nog 7 stamme wat hulle erfdeel in die Beloofde Land moes kry toe Josua en die Israeliete Silo bereik. Hulle het die tabernakel (tent van ontmoeting) opgeslaan met die verbondsark binne in. Manne moes die land verken en hulle bevindinge aanteken in ‘n boek. By Silo het Josua, in God se teenwoordigheid, besluit watter land na watter stam moes gaan. Die Leviete het slegs stede gekry waar hulle kon woon. Ruben, Gad en Manasse het Silo in Kanaän verlaat en teruggetrek na Gílead waar hulle reeds vroeër land oos van die Jordaan ontvang het. Die nommer 7 verwys na rus en vrede en die tabernakel was in Silo wat ook ‘n plek van rus was.
